An other success story little finger replantation / revascularization, Accidentally right Hand amputated fingers of a youth saved by plastic surgery at Shree Radhakrishna hospital, Wardhaman nagar, Nagpur.
Mr. Satish Katre a resident of Wardhaman nagar
sustained accidental crush injury on 14 June at around 10 AM, in his right hand resulting in partial
separation of ring finger and amputation of little finger. Immediately his
relatives reached at Shree Radhakrishna hospital, Wardhaman nagar, Nagpur with Mr. Satish. Procedure explained to him
and his relatives, after full preparation, at around 2:30 PM Plastic Surgery
was started.
First
wound debridement and cleaning was done, then blood vessels nerves and tendons
were identified and marked. Bone fixation was done by K wire, after that
tendons, digital nerves repair was done. Finally the most important structures
blood vessels arteries and veins were joined by microvascular surgery, so that
the blood circulation established and fingers could survive. Such type of
procedure require highly skilled hands and modern technology like operative
microscope. This procedure were executed successfully in around 6 hours by our
team which consists of Dr Amol Kumar Patel (Plastic Surgeon), Dr Namdeo
Nandanwar (Orthopedic Surgeon) and Anesthetist Dr Vikas Chudhary and Dr Vikrant
Sawarkar.
Management
of Shree Radhakrishna Hospital, Wardhaman Nagar, Nagpur further informed that
they have all facilities and expertise for microvascular surgery available at
their plastic surgery department headed by Plastic Surgeon Dr Amol Kumar Patel.

Successful Finger Replantation at Our Clinic Nagpur
This Patient sustained sharp cut injury resulting in complete separation of left hand four fingers.
our team planned to replant it, after 7-8 hours of surgery we successfully completed the procedure.
